6 months

After 6 months, this country feels like an old worn in car. I know how it works, how it smells, and what I have to accept. It has brought about some new thoughts and cultural awareness that I don't think I have the talent for articulating well. All that I can say at this point is that I wish everyone the experience to not only travel to far places, but to stay long enough so that your hands become callused from the grip of hanging there awhile.

Great writing, great pics. You are a journalist that just doesn't know it yet. I like calloused from the grip of hanging in there.
Sure am proud of you little Blanco girl.

I'm the one. I stumbled across a few of your photos a while back and just recently found these postings. I couldn't help but write to tell you I think your writing is remarkable. You have a great talent for expression, taking moments in life and giving them depth. Thanks for sharing what you see and think.

Wow, you could not have said it any better. You really have a gift for writing as well as gift for photography. But then again, that's nothing new that's been said by me. Keep sharing your world because I love to see your perspective of it.
